Call tracking that shows which ad made the phone ring.
Every visitor sees a phone number tied to the ad and page they came from. Every call is logged, matched to the sale in your CRM, and sent back to Google Ads, on a system we build for you and you own.
The phone rang. Which ad paid for it?
For a business that sells by phone, the most valuable conversions are the hardest to see. Ad platforms count clicks. Your team counts calls. Nobody connects the two.
Calls from the website
A click from an ad lands on your site, the visitor calls the number in the header, and the ad gets no credit.
Calls that become sales later
A call today, a sale next week. The ad platform never hears about the sale, so it keeps buying the wrong clicks.
Calls from TV and offline
A streaming commercial drives a call with no click at all.
How our call tracking works
- Step 1
A number per source
Dynamic number insertion swaps the phone number on your site based on the ad, campaign or page that brought the visitor (Twilio).
- Step 2
The call is logged
Time, source, duration and outcome, in a database you own.
- Step 3
Matched to the sale
Linked to the lead in your CRM or dialer.
- Step 4
Sent back to the ad platform
Sales are uploaded to Google Ads as offline conversions, so bidding learns which clicks become customers.
- Step 5
Reported
Cost per call and cost per sale by ad, every week.
Why we build call tracking instead of renting it
| Measure | Typical call tracking software | Aroc's build |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the data | The vendor | You |
| Cost as you add numbers | Rises per number or minute | Carrier cost only, plus the partnership |
| Matching to your CRM | Through the vendor's integrations | Built for your CRM or dialer |
| Sending sales back to Google | Plan-dependent | Included |
Off-the-shelf tools are a good choice for many businesses. If one fits, we'll set it up instead.
What you see every day
- Calls by source, ad and page
- Answered vs missed

What setup looks like
What we need
- Access to your website (or your developer)
- Your ad accounts
- Your CRM or dialer
- The numbers you want to keep
Week 1
- Numbers provisioned
- The number swap installed and tested
- Calls flowing to the database
- CRM matching configured
- The first test conversions sent to Google Ads
Your existing published number stays yours; tracking numbers forward to it.
What it costs
Call tracking is included in the Growth Partnership, typically $2,500 a month. If you only need tracking set up on your existing ads and site, we quote it in writing. Phone carrier costs (per number and per minute) are passed through at cost.
Call tracking FAQ
What is dynamic number insertion?
A small script on your site that shows each visitor a phone number linked to how they arrived, so every call can be traced back to its source.
Will it hurt my local listings?
No. Your main published number stays on your listings and in your site's business details. Tracking numbers appear only to visitors who came from ads.
Can I track calls from TV or radio?
Yes. A dedicated number per commercial, plus timing analysis for calls that dial the main number.
Do you record calls?
Only if you want it, and only with the disclosures your state requires. We set up the announcement.
What CRMs do you connect to?
Most with an API. We confirm yours during setup.
Can I see the data myself?
Yes. It's your database, with your own dashboard login.
