Infrastructure & Technology

Infrastructure and technology, scoped to the requirements.

Aroc takes on cloud and data infrastructure, data center and infrastructure solutions, and blockchain applications and systems. Every engagement starts with the workloads, the risks and the constraints, and the team, specialists and suppliers it needs are set out in the proposal.

Problems we are asked to solve

Where this work usually starts.

  • Systems are slow, fragile or expensive to run.
  • Data is scattered, or cannot be trusted for decisions.
  • A product has to scale, or meet security and compliance requirements.
  • A blockchain or distributed approach is being considered and needs a hard look before money is committed.
What you can request

Infrastructure and technology: the offerings.

  • Cloud architecture, migration and operation.
  • Data infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Planning, specification and implementation of data center and infrastructure solutions.
  • Blockchain applications and systems, from feasibility to implementation.
  • An infrastructure assessment before any build.

How projects are scoped

Scoped to the requirement, priced in writing before work starts.

These are not packages. The published prices ($950 for Assess, from $5,000 for Build, $650 a month for Grow) apply to the specific scopes on those pages. A project here starts with a conversation, usually an Assess to establish what is worth building, and the team, specialists and suppliers it needs are agreed in the proposal.

Infrastructure projects

  1. Discovery
  2. Requirements and risk
  3. Architecture and options
  4. Implementation plan
  5. Implementation
  6. Operation handover

Deliverables typically include: architecture, vendor options, implementation plan, runbooks.

What to send

Three questions that make a first reply useful.

  • What workloads, data or systems are involved?
  • Availability, security or compliance requirements
  • Where do things run today?

The project enquiry asks these for a “infrastructure or data project”. A sentence for each is enough.

Evidence

What exists today.

There is no published infrastructure case study yet. Scope, team and suppliers are agreed for each engagement and written into the proposal, so a first conversation about requirements is the most useful starting point. Related published work: revenue reporting and analytics, which covers tracking and data foundations.
